Cage Free Home Boarding for Dogs Boca Raton, Boynton Beach, Delray Beach, West Palm Beach, Wellington, Parkland, Palm Beach County, Broward County, Lake Worth, Gulfstream, Ocean Ridge

Due to numerous requests from their clients, several years ago Jeff and Heather began offering "cage free" boarding in their home. Most, if not all, of their clients said they could never leave their dogs in even the most luxurious commercial kennel. Their clients desperately needed an alternative boarding option for their beloved pets, so they're able to relax and enjoy their time away free from worry!

Jeff and Heather's goal is to always exceed their clients' expectations. Please read the details and FAQs below to learn more about their boarding service and see photos of their home. To show their commitment to maintaining the highest standards of business practices and safety, they are fully licensed and permitted by Palm Beach County and Animal Care and Control.

During their pet's stay, clients are encouraged to contact Jeff and Heather for updates, photos and videos! They are available by phone, email or text from 6:30am – 11:00pm, 7-days per week. For those who are missing their pets a lot, they can even FaceTime or Skype with their dog! Note: They board small dogs ONLY - maximum 20 lbs. Additionally, all dogs older than 6 months of age must be spayed or neutered.

What makes your cage-less home boarding service so exceptional?
"Unlike commercial facilities, we strive to replicate your dog’s home environment to make their stay as comfortable and stress-free as possible. Most people have the pre-conceived notion that a home used for boarding will be dirty and stinky with fur and doggie waste all over the place. Our home is spotlessly clean, smoke-free and designed with floorings and furnishings that are all "dog friendly". Whether we have no dogs - or a full house - we keep our home and yard immaculately clean at all times!! We also take many strides to avoid any yard and home hazards. Our home is completely “baby proof” and though our yard is fully fenced, we have also enclosed our pool itself with a dog-proof fence. In early 2019, we had our back yard grass replaced with synthetic turf! The dogs love it and it's non-toxic, hygienic and dirt and bug free! Additionally, the artificial grass deters fleas and ticks, along with common Florida yard nuisances such as toads, lizards and snakes."

"Nothing is more important to us than your dog's physical and emotional well-being! We run our business with the highest level of ethics and we are proud to be fully licensed and permitted by the City of Boynton Beach and Palm Beach County Animal Care and Control. In addition to being licensed, we are also bonded and insured. We take our role as "substitute" parents very seriously! One (or both) of us is home at all times - the dogs are never home alone!"

We hear you have a cage-free policy – but what about at night? "Should your dog sleep in a crate or playpen at night, he or she will also be crated or penned here. Unless the owners request otherwise, all crated dogs will sleep in their crates in our bedroom. If your pet sleeps “free” at home, then they will also sleep free here. We have lots of cozy beds, sofas and blankets for our guests! We have baby monitors and a video camera system so we are aware of what's going on with your pet at all times."

When I’ve boarded my dog at other places, he’s come home UN-housebroken! Does this happen with your boarders, too? "Traditional boarding kennels have set times (usually twice daily), when their boarders are taken out to potty, then returned to the confines of their cages or kennels. Very few dogs can conform to that schedule – especially puppies! To prevent your pet from losing their potty skills, each dog is kept on his or her same home potty schedule and are taken out to potty as often as they need. Since we're trainers, we can work on your pet's potty skills during their stay with us. If you're looking for an intensive potty training "Boot Camp", please visit our Training page for information."

My dog always stops eating when I board him and loses a lot of weight. What can you do to prevent this? "More often than not, in commercial boarding facilities, dogs will go on a “hunger strike”, as they are anxiety ridden and depressed due to their caged habitat. When dogs come here, they immediately sense that they’re in a safe, loving environment - so they quickly feel comfortable and “at home”. On occasion, even a happy little guy can turn into a picky eater, but we always get him to eat - even if we have to sit on the floor and encourage every bite! Another very important thing we do is we ALWAYS separate the dogs when they eat. This will prevent the dogs from getting upset tummies from eating a different food."

Is there a fee for giving our dog extra attention? "No way! Many other boarding places actually charge extra for "belly rubs", "play time" and "bedtime stories"! We think that's silly! Our mentality is completely different - and quite simple; during their stay, your pets are part of our family and they're nurtured, cuddled and played with constantly! It's our pleasure!!"

Do you board many dogs at a time? "We like to keep our number low so we’re able to give each dog the proper attention that he or she needs. Because our space is so limited, we take reservations several months in advance. Another unique aspect about our boarding experience is that often times your dog will be boarded with dogs they know! Since the majority of our boarders have gone through our training program, and are very comfortable here, their owners use our boarding service, too. It’s become like summer camp! It’s absolutely priceless to see the happiness and excitement when dogs are reunited with their friends! Note: we only board dogs approximately 20 pounds and under."

Do you board dogs that are potty pad trained? "We do not put potty pads down in our home. So, if your dog's only potty method is pads, then we're sorry but we can't board your dog. However, if your dog will also potty outside, then we can make an exception."

We take long trips – even up to a month or so. Can you keep our dog that long? "Yes we can! We have many clients who travel extensively throughout the year, so our home has become their dog's "vacation" home! The dogs really enjoy our routine and nonstop activities. Most of all, they love our constant attention and affection, so they never get homesick!"

My dog takes medication and every place I’ve boarded him charges a fee for each time it’s administered! Is this also your policy? "No! We’d never charge our clients a fee for that! It takes two seconds to administer meds – so we don't see any logic in charging you additionally."

My schedule is so hectic – do you offer transportation to/from your home? "Yes we do. Our transportation service is available, but it must be scheduled in advance. Contact us for details and pricing information."

What if my dog gets sick during his stay? "Though it’s unlikely, just like humans, a dog can get sick. Jeff is fully certified in dog CPR and First Aid, but should a vet visit be necessary, we need to have the authority to act quickly on your behalf to get your pet the care he needs! This is outlined in our boarding contract."

Can I visit your home to determine if it’s the right environment for my dog? "Absolutely!! In fact, we require it. Prior to boarding or board-and-train, we ask that you and your dog come visit our home and let your dog play for a bit and become comfortable here. It's also very important for us to have that time to observe your dog in our environment to be sure he or she is friendly with other dogs and humans. These 30-minute visits have to be scheduled and we are usually available to do meet-and-greets 7 days a week."

Do you have a cancellation policy? "Yes, we do. Due to our limited capacity, we have needed to implement a strict cancellation policy. Click here to read the details"
